The Fur Chef meals are made by a gourmet chef in Sydney restaurant kitchen based off recipes crafted by a pet nutritionist.
Our biscuits are prepared in Victoria using ultra-premium ingredients, specially formulated to improve your pets gut health.

Are The Fur Chef meals cooked or raw?
The Fur Chef meals are freshly cooked in our Sydney kitchen by a gourmet chef so your pet can enjoy restaurant-quality food from the comfort of their own home.
Is The Fur Chef grain free?
Although some of our meals aregrain-free, some of our meals contain ingredients that your pet may besensitive to. Please check the ingredients before purchasing your subscription.
Are The Fur Chef meals and biscuits complete and balanced?
Providing high quality, advanced nutrition is essential to The Fur Chef. Our recipes are developed in conjunction with a Pet Nutritionist and gourmet chef to ensure that they are a complete and balanced meals and exceed the nutritional requirements for healthy growth and maintenance set by AAFCO.
Each meal is only 2-3% of your dog’s body weight in grams but they contain 30% protein. The Fur Chef meals are made of human-grade ingredients and whole foods only – no supplements or nasty fillers added.
Is The Fur Chef suitable for puppies?
The Fur Chef meals and biscuits have been designed to suit the nutritional needs of adult dogs. We do not recommend feeding your new pup The Fur Chef until they are over the age of 1 years old as their everyday meal.
Is The Fur Chef suitable for senior dogs?
The Fur Chef meals and biscuits contain high quality meat proteins and anti-inflammatory ingredients like omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids to support a lean physique and help with diseases like arthritis to help all dogs thrive no matter what their age is. If your dog has a specific health condition, we recommend that you speak with your vet before changing their diet.
Is The Fur Chef suitable for cats?

What if my dog is a fussy eater?
The Fur Chef recipes are crafted so your dog will want to lick the bowl clean! If you’re not sure which meal will get your dog’s tail wagging the most, we recommend you try our Tasting Platter to sample all our meals or biscuits.
When are The Fur Chef meals prepared?
The Fur Chef meals will be cooked by our five-star chef the weekend before your order arrives. Deliveries are scheduled fortnightly Wednesday - Thursday.
What is The Fur Chef meal packaging made from?
Our trays consist of 85% post-consumer recycled PET coming from collected and recycled bottles. These small trays take up less storage space and are also leak proof and safe to use in the freezer and oven!
Getting Started
How should I transition my dog to The Fur Chef
If your pet is a little on the sensitive side a gradual change to new food is recommended to ensure your dog’s tummy will be well-adjusted with no upsets.
Transitioning to new food generally takes 7-14 days and involves mixing an increasing proportion of The Fur Chef with their previous food until they have fully transitioned.
How do you calculate my dog’s serving size?
Working with our pet nutritionist we have reviewed the average calorie intake based on the weight of your dog. Some meals are higher in calories than others, and therefore intake recommendations were based on an average. As always you know your dog best and our suggestions are guidelines that you can follow.
How long will The Fur Chef meals stay fresh for?
The Fur Chef meals will stay fresh for 14 days if properly refrigerated at 2-5°C. We recommend freezing the meals that your dog will not be eating in the next 7 days to help them last longer.
Can I freeze The Fur Chef meals?
Yes, we recommend popping the meals your dog will eat over the next 7 days into the fridge and freezing the rest.
How should I serve The Fur Chef meals to my dog?
The Fur Chef meals are ready to eat as soon as they arrive. You can also serve them straight from the fridge or heat them for 20 seconds in the microwave.
We recommend spooning the correct meal portions for your dog into their favourite bowl for them to dine on.
CanI purchase The Fur Chef in a physical store?
Currently, The Fur Chef meals and kibble are only available from our online store and at The Fur Salon
Shipping and deliveries
Where do you deliver?
The Fur Chef meals are exclusive to top dogs in the Sydney metro & Regional areas. Check if we deliver to you.

When will my order arrive?
Once your order is confirmed, we will email you to let you know the delivery date on which your order will arrive. Currently, deliveries are scheduled bi-weekly and will be delivered on a Tuesday or Wednesday depending on your location. Refer to your cart for further details.
Do I have to be home when The Fur Chef is delivered?
Worry not, you don’t need to be home when The Fur Chef is delivered as your order will arrive in a recycled box with gel pack that keeps the meals fresh until you get home. Just make sure to put the food into the fridge or freezer as soon as you can.
Planning on being out for the day? We recommend purchasing a Thermoguard liner at checkout as an additional insurance that your pet’s meals stay cool until you return home, especially on hot summer days.
We will let you know when your meals are out for delivery and on the Cart page, you can leave us special instructions before you place your order.
Can I subscribe to The Fur Chef?
Yes, you can choose to automatically receive your The Fur Chef order every 14 days. Simply select the subscription option (enough meals for 7 days or 14 days) on the product page before you add the item to your cart.
What if I need to make changes to my delivery?
If you need to change your delivery details, please get in touch with us as soon as possible via– hello@thefurchef.com.au or by calling 1300 851 422.
Please note that you can only modify or cancel your order within 24 hours after you placed the order. After that, your order will be in work and cannot be changed or cancelled.
Can I pause or cancel my subscription?
No commitment, cancel any time. Orders can be cancelled via your account on the The Fur Chef website no later than midnight on the Sunday prior to the next order cycle.
